File Extension Qbm

The file extension .qbm is fairly common and is only used by one program. It is created by Quickbooks, which is produced by the Intuit company. Intuit seeks to sell software to small and medium sized businesses, especially home businesses, and thus many company computers have .qbm files located on them, especially laptops. The .qbm extension is applied to the Quickbooks Portable Company file, which is basically a complete summary of a company's accounts. It is thus widely used among small business owners when they are traveling or when they wish to examine a company's records at home. Because Quickbooks is so popular, it is very common, and users who use Quickbooks should take care not to delete or damage their .qbm files if they intend to keep using Quickbooks.

I really do love FileCure because it's so easy to use - you don't have to be some kind of computer guru to get just what you need!

Plug and play? Not even close. I spent a lot of time trying to get my new, so-called 'plug and play' scanner to work. I was about ready to take it back. ParetoLogic FileCure got it working and saved me a needless trip (and gas!!) back to the store.

Sylvia D. Franklin Park, San Francisco

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my printer wouldn't work, a friend of mine suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure a try. I figured it was worth a shot because I was going to have to pay for a geek anyway. I was so happy when it worked... and worked properly!

I figured the graphics card my grandson gave me was broken when I couldn't get it work on my computer. It turns out that I just didn't have the right driver. ParetoLogic FileCure got it workin.

Hello FileCure folks:

I can't thank you enough for this great product. I just bought a new Vista machine and had been having all kinds of problems. First it was my screen and once I got that fixed it was the printer . Finally, my son suggested I try your product. It worked great and continues to keep my computer working. Thanks you.

Reggie E., N. Dakota

I hate paying a lot of money for anything. That's why I buy mostly used computer equipment. Last week I thought I got taken when I bought a scanner. It just would not work. ParetoLogic Driver Cure got it working. With the updates, it makes sure my stuff will keep working and that I don't have to pay more money.

I work at a school so my mom thinks I am some kind of computer whiz. I have wasted so much time trying to get her stuff to work. Our IT guy suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure. It has been a godsend and has saved me a lot of wasted hours. My mom and I can't thank you enough.

Carol S., Saskatchewan

My wife bought me a new Vista system, and ever since I have had problems with some of my hardware. I saw FileCure, and decided to give it a shot. Ever since, the Vista and my hardware have been working great. Thanks!

Nick Shultz, Canberra, Australia

I upgraded my system to Vista, and my printer started to act funny. No error messages, but it just wasn't working quite right. I read that drivers could sometimes be the problem. I looked online and saw FileCure. After downloading FileCure, my printer works great. You guys rock!

The Quickbooks Portable Company file may be read by Quickbooks, however Quickbooks has been out for many years, and older versions of Quickbooks can't open more recently created files from more recent versions. This is because newer versions have capabilities and properties that the earlier ones do not. Fortunately, Quickbooks offers a free trial version, so users who come across a file they cannot open with their current version may easily download the free version to open and modify the file. The free version will open any type and provide most of the functionality, but of course the highest features are closed off. This free version is also great for users who wish to open a file that they produced a long time ago or found and are curious about.

More Info Regarding File Extension Qbm

The Quickbooks Portable Company file is very important to the use of Quickbooks, since it saves much (or even all) of the relevant data. As such, it is important that Quickbook files make sure that there is a .qbm file in their backups! The .qbm file tends to be rather large and even small damages to the file can make it unreadable. It can easily be stored on most flash drives and on any laptop, though, and so backing up is easy. This is also how many users come across .pdb files, especially when they are examining old portable media which a company is looking to discard, recycle, or pass on to new users.

The problem, though, is that the Quickbook Portable Company file often contains sensitive information. Users who created the files should have no fear, nor should they worry if the file is obsolete, irrelevant, or belonging to a long since removed company. However, Quickbook Portable Company files from current companies often contain very important information, and persons who purchase computers used or inherit them are strongly advised to delete the Quickbook Portable Company files that they find. Although they are not required to do so, the sensitive nature of these files means that users who come across them by accident are highly encouraged to delete them for the sake of those who left them. A Quickbook Portable Company file is basically a comprehensive copy of the company's books, and it contains a lot of information which could be put to nefarious use if it falls into the wrong hands. This also means that persons who use Quickbooks should ensure that all .qbm files should be removed from any computer before it is handed off. Of course, corporate PCs should always have their hard drives physically destroyed before selling them off or passing them along to employees.

Because the .qbm file is so easily opened and is only created and used by one sort of program, it generally only gives users problems if they don't have Quickbooks installed or if the file has been damaged, which does tend to happen with very large files. Users who get errors in Windows regarding the .qbm file can generally solve them just by uninstalling and reinstalling Quickbooks, or just installing Quickbooks for the first time. Other errors are generally related to the registry, and can be solved by using a registry fixer, of which there are many options. CCleaner is a free option, but many other companies will also fix the registry and ensure that the .qbm file is mapped to Quickbooks so that it will open appropriately. Users my also right-click on the file and go into "Properties" to choose what software should open it.
